Irregular-Slot Stator Paper Inserting Machine
Each irregular slot can be matched with a dedicated forming knife shaped to the slot opening, shoulder and bottom radius. The insulation paper follows the slot wall more closely, helping reduce voids, wrinkles and bottom cracking while improving first-pass quality.
Multiple forming knives are stored in a multi-station tool arrangement. Operators can select the required tool for a new stator specification without repeated die removal and alignment, supporting flexible production of multiple motor models.
The paper magazine is customized to the target slot geometry. Pre-folding angles, paper guidance and the paper exit profile are matched to the slot, reducing paper jams, misalignment and deformation during feeding and forming.
With high-precision irregular-slot forming maintained, the machine can achieve a stable production cycle of up to 0.6 seconds per slot. It is designed for motor production lines that require both high throughput and consistent insulation quality.
The dedicated forming knife uses an arc-clearance structure to avoid impact loading on thin stator teeth. This helps reduce scratches, burrs and tooth deformation, lowering the risk of stator rejection.
The irregular-slot process is built into the dedicated knives, paper magazine and feeding structure, reducing the need for complex servo-curve tuning. Standardized operation supports consistent production and helps lower training and routine maintenance requirements.

The NIDE Irregular-Slot Stator Paper Inserting Machine is suitable for small and medium-sized high-efficiency induction motor manufacturing with random-wound copper-wire three-phase windings. Typical applications include:
•IE4 and IE5 high-efficiency industrial motors
•Fan, pump, compressor, HVAC and refrigeration motors
•Drive motors for automation equipment and conveyor systems
•Motors used in packaging, environmental and light industrial equipment
•Textile and food-processing machinery motors
•Low-noise and low-vibration industrial drives
•Flexible production lines for multiple irregular-slot stator models
The machine is designed for semi-closed pear-shaped slots, knife-shaped slots, eccentric arc slots and other complex irregular stator slot profiles.
It is not intended for high-voltage open-slot motors or hairpin/form-formed flat-wire winding motors. Final suitability should be verified using the stator slot drawing, stator dimensions, insulation-paper specification and production process requirements.
